Thoughts on Social Networking

A recent study by Mike Sachoff from Web Pro News showed a perceived value of Social Media of 81% enhanced relationships with customers/clients. With 81% build in company branding. 69% a viable recruitment tool, 64% customer service tool and 46% enhanced employee morale.

The most popular social networking tools being used are Facebook (80%), Twitter (66%), YouTube (55%), LinedIn (49%) and blogs (43%)

"The majority (74%) of executives said they visit social media sites at least weekly to read what customers are saying about their company, while 47 percent routinely monitor competitor's use of social networking. Over a third (36%) search social media sites to see what their employees are sharing and 25 percent use social networking to check the background of a potential employee." per Mike Sachoff.

Interesting, as my perception is that people want to be heard and social networking allows for that, personal or business.  It is all good.
